This year the Athens Choral Society will present "Eight to the Bar: ACS Salutes the USO," its salute to the brave singers and comedians who have entertained countless G.I.s over the past 67 years. Based on a 1940's Camp Show, we feature the comedy of host extrordinairre ROB SLOPE, a duet by local beauty queens Miss ILA and Miss LULA, medleys by an old fashioned Barbershop quartet, and many more golden age favorites.

Rehearsals for the Athens Choral Society 2008 show will start Tuesday, May 20, at First United Methodist Church. Registration will begin at 6:15 and rehearsal will begin at 7:00 PM.

The shows will be at Seney Stovall on Friday and Saturday, August 15 & 16, at 7:30, and Sunday, August 17 at 2:30. The summer show is our traditional annual fundraiser.

In addition to the the ticket cost, a donation of $5.00 may be made in honor or memory of each serviceman or woman someone would like to honor. Honorees' names and branches of service will be listed in the program. Please don't hesitate to reply to this message to ask any questions not answered here!
